Where am I even going with this blog? I have no idea.
Posting style and topic ideas
The thought of what I actually want this blog to be never really occurred to me, I just kind of started putting black on white about whatever. Knowing myself, that's probably what's gonna be going on in the future as well.
It's a 'nother Simpsons reference innit

"So you see yourself as a more 'buffet' style intellectual, picking and nibbling until one day you're 38 and managing a Barnes & Noble."
Some ideas in no particular order
So here's some stuff that interests me I want to share with you. Or, just share at you. "With" implies consent and interaction.
- Continue with random rants and thought of the day -posts
- Exploring and showing off projects
- Photos of stuff: Possibly projects, trips, cool stuff, cats
- Longer, multi-part posts, including resurrecting my old Dwarf Fortress with Dwarves being named after readers. Perhaps Rimworld?
- Reviews?
- Some interactive things perhaps
- Tutorials or guides
- Deep dives
- Requests from readers
- Collabs
- Life updates?
On schedule, or lack of one
"When the stars are right, they could plunge from world to world through the sky; but when the stars were wrong, they could not live."
- H.P. Lovecraft
Due to stupid adult stuff and my wildly varying levels of energy and time, I have no idea how much my posting schedule will vary. You have been warned.
I'm actually working on my "Jesus syndrome" where I have a tendency to attempt to help every single person in my life, often at the cost of my own well-being, so this will sort of fall in the same category.
Identity - Me vs. PLAINTXT
As soon as I enabled the comments and got the first comment (And there was much rejoicing!) I wanted to reply, because it was very useful info I got, I was asked for a name, and I had an identity crisis.
I'm known by a few names in different parts of the interwebs and offline, and since I haven't used any of those, it didn't make sense to sign off with any of them, so I just used the blog name.
This also brought on the question of "How much of my privacy am I willing to give up for this?", "How much am I comfortable with sharing?" and "How much trouble am I gonna get in if I'm linked to my actual persona?"
I don't know if you already got that image, that I'm quite outspoken, provocative and, at times, abrasive, with my opinions and views. A lot of what I spew from my noise-hole is going to annoy a lot of people, especially the kind of people who would try to harm me if they found out my identity. I've already seen this happen people close to me, so I'm not paranoid. You're not paranoid if they really are out to get you.
So for now, you may call me Mr. PLAINTXT ("Gasp, he's a man?!")

Arrested Development choir "Mr. X..."
I'll see if that changes once/if I start sharing my coding projects, since those use a different name. I'm probably overthinking this, but I mean, that's me.
Ew, another privileged white man doing a politics podcast, unsubscribed
I have trouble identifying with any sort of stereotypical corner of the political compass, I just know I am quite radical. Woke, facts first, human rights, animal rights, anti-fascist, capitalism fucking sucks, fuck authority, fuck the system -kind of person.
That said, I'm not going to do a lot of politics, as I find it exhausting. I am tired, that the world is being lead by the very people who should never have any kind of authority or power. The stupid, the greedy, the malicious, the hateful, the zealots. I know I shouldn't be the dude doing any kind of leading, I have the self-awareness to understand how little I understand. Well, at least I would listen to the experts...
Conclusion - So you've decided to unsubscribe
So yeah, here's some shit I'm maybe gonna do in the future. Feel free to call them shitty ideas in the comments below, I'm gonna do them anyway. You make a blog and make better fuckin' content if you're not happy with mine.
